ETO 21:Screening Interviews for Electro Technical Officer (ETO 21)

Attached list of the interviewees and interview schedule for  the Electro Technical Officer Programme ETO 21  based on the results of the written examination conducted in Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar on  03 September 2022.

The individual EMTI Reference Numbers (indicated in Red) that had been allocated to candidates during the registration process are to be used as reference by applicants during communication with EMTI administrative staff.

Attached are the lists of those applicants applying  for the ETO 21 (Electro Technical Officer) , programme that have met the application criteria and ARE HEREBY INVITED to conduct the written screening examinations in  Addis Ababa and Bahirdar on Saturday September 03, 2022.

­The individual EMTI Reference Numbers (in the first column) of the attached tables are to be used as reference by applicants when confirming their availability for the screening examinations:

NB: Members not indicated on the attached lists unfortunately did not meet the application criteria to be invited for the screening examination and are to reapply in future if they so wish.

ME20 – Basic Training Starts June 6, 2022

 

Reminder to all recruits accepted for the next programme in Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW).

ME Batch 20: Basic Training for course ME 20 – starts on 06 June 2022. See call-up instructions below.

You are hereby reminded to report to the Academy at the Peda Campus of the University of Bahir Dar on 04 June 2022, but not later than 17:00, for the start of your programme. The first course in the programme is basic training. On successful completion of this course, you will start the 8 month course, OICEW, which is the core course of the programme. Basic training consists of the following subjects:

         a. Elementary first aid
         b. Fire prevention and fire fighting
         c. Personal safety and social responsibilities
         d. [Maritime] survival techniques

Items which will be issued to you on loan. You will be issued overalls and any standard personal gear required for personal protection during training. Once you have successfully passed basic training you will be issued a uniform.

Items to bring
You are to cater for your personal private clothing. As you will be wearing uniform most of the time, not much civilian clothes will be necessary. The following are recommended:

          a. Shirts
          b. Jeans, or Chinos [no ‘broken clothing’]
          c. Underwear [at least 5 pairs]
          d. Night wear [Pajama / Shorts]
          e. Warm jacket [navy blue or black]
          f. Handkerchiefs
          g. Casual shoes
          h. Rubber-soled sport shoes
          i. Socks [at least 4 pairs of black socks included]
          j. Sport gear (shorts, vest, swimming suit).
          k. Personal Hygiene Products
                                -Body Wash/Soap
                                -Shampoo
                                -Tooth brush
                                -Tooth paste
                                -Hand/Face towel
                                -Bath towels [2]
                                -Razor / Shaver
                                -Comb
                                -Deodorant

General issues
Bring your Kebele identity document with you.
Bring your own stationery (pen and notebook).
You will be required to be clean-shaven during training.
Furthermore, arrive at the Academy with a neat, short haircut.
