As Managing Director of SeaNet and Decatur Marine, Christian oversees the strategic vision, growth and operations of both organizations.

Previously, Christian supervised marketing, business development, and strategic planning as Vice President of the Liberian Registry. During that time, he co-invented the first flag State approved electronic oil record book (ε-ORB), which in 2017 won the North America Lloyd’s List Maritime Services award, the Asia Lloyd’s List Intelligence Innovation award, the NAMEPA Innovation award, and the Tanker Shipping & Trade Technical Innovation award.

He also practiced law in Alaska, and held maritime and environmental regulatory compliance roles at Royal Caribbean International and Holland America Line.

Christian serves on the board of directors of the North American Marine Environment Protection Association—where he is producing a series of maritime environmental awareness and sustainability computer based training programs for shipboard crew and shoreside staff.
