Reminder to all recruits accepted for the next programme in Electro Technical Officer.<\/h5>\n

ETO Batch 18: Basic Training for course ET19B<\/strong> \u2013 starts on 25 Nov 2019<\/strong>. See call-up instructions below.<\/p>\n

You are hereby reminded<\/strong><\/span> to report to the Academy at the Peda Campus of the University of Bahir Dar from 23 Nov 2019, but not later than 17:00 on 24 Nov 2019<\/span>,<\/strong>  for the start of your programme. The first course in the programme is basic training. On successful completion of this course, you will start the 6-month course, Electro Technical Officer, which is the core course of the programme. Basic training consists of the following subjects:<\/p>\n

a. Elementary first aid
\nb. Fire prevention and fire fighting
\nc. Personal safety and social responsibilities
\nd. [Maritime] survival techniques<\/p>\n

Items which will be issued to you on loan.<\/strong> You will be issued overalls and any standard personal gear required for personal protection during training. Once you have successfully passed basic training you will be issued a uniform.<\/p>\n

Items to bring<\/strong>
\nYou are to cater for your personal private clothing. As you will be wearing uniform most of the time, not much civilian clothes will be necessary. The following are recommended:<\/p>\n

a. Shirts
\nb. Jeans, or Chinos [no \u2018broken clothing\u2019]
\nc. Underwear [at least 5 pairs]
\nd. Night wear [Pajama \/ Shorts]
\ne. Warm jacket [navy blue or black]
\nf. Handkerchiefs
\ng. Casual shoes
\nh. Rubber-soled sport shoes
\ni. Socks [at least 4 pairs of black socks included]
\nj. Sport gear (shorts, vest, swimming suit).
\nk. Personal Hygiene Products<\/p>\n

\u2022 Body Wash\/Soap
\n\u2022 Shampoo
\n\u2022 Tooth brush
\n\u2022 Tooth paste
\n\u2022 Hand\/Face towel
\n\u2022 Bath towels [2]
\n\u2022 Razor \/ Shaver
\n\u2022 Comb
\n\u2022 Deodorant<\/p>\n

General issues<\/strong>
\nBring your Kebele identity document with you.
\nBring your own stationery (pen and notebook).
\nYou will be required to be clean-shaven during training.
\nFurthermore, arrive at the Academy with a neat, short haircut.<\/p>\n
