ETO Batch 16: Basic Training for course ETO18B \u2013 starts on 05 February 2018<\/span>.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You are hereby reminded <\/strong>to report to the Academy at the Peda Campus of the University of Bahir Dar from 03 February 2018, but not later than 17:00 on 04 February 2018<\/strong>, for the start of your programme.<\/em> The first course in the programme is basic training. On successful completion of this course, you will start the 6- month course, Electro Technical Officer, which is the core course of the programme. Basic training consists of the following subjects:<\/p>\n

 
\n<\/p>\n

a. Elementary first aid<\/p>\n

b. Fire prevention and firefighting<\/p>\n

c. Personal safety and social responsibilities<\/p>\n

d. [Maritime] survival techniques<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Items which will be issued to you on loan.<\/strong> You will be issued overalls and any standard personal gear required for personal protection during training. Once you have successfully passed basic training you will be issued a uniform.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Items to bring<\/strong><\/h2>\n

You are to cater for your personal private clothing. As you will be wearing a uniform most of the time, not many civilian clothes will be necessary.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The following are recommended:<\/p>\n

a. Shirts
\nb. Jeans, or Chinos [no \u2018broken clothing\u2019]
\nc. Underwear [at least 5 pairs]
\nd. Nightwear [Pajama \/ Shorts]
\ne. Warm jacket [navy blue or black]
\nf. Handkerchiefs
\ng. Casual shoes
\nh. Rubber-soled sport shoes
\ni. Socks [at least 4 pairs of black socks included] j. Sport gear (shorts, vest, swimming suit).

Bring your Kebele identity document with you.
\nBring your own stationery (pen and notebook).
\nYou will be required to be clean-shaven during training.
\nFurthermore, arrive at the Academy with a neat, short haircut.<\/p>\n
