{"id":19011,"date":"2016-10-07T22:21:30","date_gmt":"2016-10-07T22:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/emticorp.com\/emtilogin\/?p=19011"},"modified":"2016-10-07T22:21:30","modified_gmt":"2016-10-07T22:21:30","slug":"recruits-accepted-for-eo17a-eo17b","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emticorp.com\/emtilogin\/important-announcements\/recruits-accepted-for-eo17a-eo17b\/","title":{"rendered":"Recruits Accepted for the next two programmes in Marine Mechanical Engineering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Attached are the lists of those recruits who have been accepted for the next two programmes in Marine Mechanical Engineering [<strong>Officer-in-Charge of an Engineering Watch<\/strong>].<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"liwp\">\n<li>Basic Training for EO<strong>17A<\/strong>\u2013 starts on\u00a0<strong>24 October 2016<\/strong>.\u00a0 See call-up instructions below.<\/li>\n<li>Basic Training for EO<strong>17B<\/strong>\u2013 starts on\u00a0<strong>23 January 2017<\/strong>.\u00a0 Instructions will be sent out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>COURSE EO17A<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The recruits listed in the document Recruits Selected for Course OE17A\u00a0<strong><u>are hereby called-up<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0to report to the Academy on the Peda Campus of the University of Bahir Dar from 22 October,\u00a0<strong><u>but not later than 17:00 on 23 October 2016<\/u><\/strong>, for the start of their programme.\u00a0 The first course in the programme is basic training.\u00a0 On successful completion of this course, you will start the 8-month course, Officer-in-Charge of an Engineering Watch, which is the core course of the programme.\u00a0 Basic training consists of the following subjects:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"liwp\">\n<li>Elementary first aid<\/li>\n<li>Fire prevention and fire fighting<\/li>\n<li>Personal safety and social responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>[Maritime] survival techniques<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Items which will be issued to you on loan.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>You will be issued overalls and any standard personal gear required for<\/p>\n<p>personal protection during training.\u00a0 Once you have successfully passed basic training you will be issued a uniform.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Items to bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You are to cater for your personal private clothing. As you will be wearing uniform most of the<\/p>\n<p>time, not much civilian clothes will be necessary.
